Our third visit to the breathtaking and historic site of Masada in Israel, the fortress built by Herod. Daniel Oren conducts a full performance of Bizet’s Carmen. With an added stay in Jerusalem, this is a true musical pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

Itinerary
Fri 8 Jun Afternoon arrival in Tel Aviv, and transfer to the Dead Sea for our stay at the 5-star Daniel Hotel and Spa. Welcome dinner in the hotel.

Sat 9 Jun This morning we go to Masada to visit the fortress built by Herod, decorated with frescoes, mosaics, handsome patios and colonnades. It is also possible to see the remains of Roman camps used during the siege of Masada. Return to the hotel for the afternoon at leisure. Dinner in the hotel restaurant, followed by a transfer to Masada for your concert performance.

Sun 10 Jun Today we transfer to Jerusalem via the Qumran National Park, site of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Check in at the 5-star deluxe Inbal Hotel, within easy walking distance of the city’s main cultural venues and Old City. The remainder of the daytime will be at leisure to relax. Evening opera performance.

Mon 11 Jun Join your guide for a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem, visiting the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the David’s Tower. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, following which, after a short drive through the New City, we experience the panoramic view of Mount Scopus. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner at The American Colony Hotel, an enchanting and romantic ‘east-meets-west’ venue.

Tue 12 Jun Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport for the homeward flight.

Please note that the Masada weekend is very heavily subscribed. We recommend that you book with us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
