A Christmas of Mozart favourites in the historic Hungarian capital. Performances of Le nozze di Figaro and The Magic Flute are joined by the chance to see seasonal ballet The Nutcracker at the wonderfully opulent State Opera House. This tour is a feast for the senses, visually as well as musically: the city’s fairy-tale architecture around the banks of the Danube is embellished with Christmas decorations to stunning effect.


Fri 24 Dec Midday arrival in Budapest and transfer to the 5-star Hotel Sofitel Budapest, on the banks of the Danube river. Welcome dinner in a local restaurant.

Sat 25 Dec This morning enjoy your ballet performance at the State Opera House, followed by Christmas lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure and optional evening performance.

Sun 26 Dec This morning your guide will introduce you to Pest, from the stunning parliament building on the banks of the Danube via St Stephen’s Basilica to Heroes Square. Evening performance at the State Opera.

Mon 27 Dec This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour on the ‘Buda’ side of the city. On Castle Hill we visit the colourful Matthias Church decorated in frescoes, and see the fairytale Fisherman’s Bastion. Evening performance.

Tue 28 Dec Transfer to Budapest Ferihegy airport for your homeward flight.
