New Year in Prague
Charles Bridge at Dawn
Join us in delightful Prague to see in the New Year in operatic style. Choose from a feast of music, including Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and Bizet’s Carmen at the State Opera, as well as a traditional seasonal performance of Strauss’s Die Fledermaus.

Itinerary
Tue 28 Dec Morning arrival in Prague and transfer to the 5-star Palace Hotel, located close to Prague Castle and the State Opera. Welcome drink in the hotel. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Wed 29 Dec This morning join your guide for a walking tour of the historic city. We leave the hotel by bus and start in the renowned Castle District, visiting the Old Royal Palace, St George’s Basilica (the best preserved Romanesque church in Prague) and Golden Lane, named after the goldsmiths who lived here in the 17th century, with its tiny colourful houses built right into the arches of the Castle walls. Finish the tour with lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure before your evening performance.

Thu 30 Dec Today we make an excursion to the historic UNESCO World Heritage town of Kutna Hora. We visit the Cathedral of St Barbara, one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in Bohemia, and the complex of Vlassky dvur (the Italian Court). Lunch is arranged in a local restaurant before returning to Prague. Evening performance.

Fri 31 Dec Day at leisure to make your choice of Prague’s many attractions. Evening performance at the State Opera, with a special New Year’s Eve grand buffet and toasts in the Opera house.

Sat 1 Jan Transfer to the airport for your homeward flight.
