Tue 3 Jul This morning meet your guide for a walking tour of the Old Town around the Marienplatz where the town hall’s Carillion glockenspiel delights audiences with dancing figures. We visit some of the city’s churches, including the Frauenkirche with its double clock-towers. Afternoon at leisure before your evening performance at the Nationaltheater.

Thu 5 Jul Morning at leisure. In the afternoon we visit to the Residenz Munich, which served as the seat of government and residence of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings from 1508 to 1918. The Treasury of the Residenz displays a large array of jewels, enamels, crystal and ivories. Also included is a guided tour of the Cuvilliés-Theater, a Rococo gem which has recently reopened following stunning restoration. Return to the hotel for a free evening.
Fri 6 Jul Today is at leisure until your late afternoon performance.
Sat 7 Jul Join your guide today for a full-day tour to Linderhof Palace, built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, and the only palace which he lives to see completed. Lunch is included in a local restaurant. We return to Munich via Ettal Abbey, a Benedictine monastery founded in 1330, which was rebuilt in the 18th century in spectacular baroque style. Evening at leisure.
Sun 8 Jul This morning we visit the Alte Pinakothek Gallery, which houses many European masterpieces dating from the 14th to 18th centuries. Enjoy some free time until your mid-afternoon performance.
Mon 9 Jul Morning transfer to the airport for your homeward flight.
