Royal Stockholm
Stockholm - c.PKristensen
The eminent Royal Swedish Opera, founded by King Gustav III in 1771, hosts the performances on this spring tour to the serene city of Stockholm. Performances of Don Pasquale and Stiffelio are joined by Puccini’s La bohème on our journey to the tranquil north.

Itinerary
Wed 18 May Afternoon arrival in Stockholm and transfer to the 4–star First Hotel Reisen, centrally located close to the Opera, the Old Town and the shopping districts. Welcome drink in the hotel.

Thu 19 May Morning guided tour of the city, built on 14 islands around one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval city centres. We visit the Old Town (Gamla Stan), the Royal Castle and the City Hall where the Nobel Prize banquet is held. Lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon free. This evening walk to the Opera for your performance.

Fri 20 May This morning we visit the Vasa Museum. Probably the world’s most powerful warship when she set sail in 1628, the Vasa sank on her maiden voyage. She was raised in 1961 and has been restored as a fully rigged ship and treasure trove of wooden sculpture. After the guided tour lunch is included in a local restaurant. Evening performance at the Opera.

Sat 21 May A free day to enjoy your choice of activity in the city. Evening performance at the Opera.

Sun 22 May Morning at leisure. Lunchtime transfer to the airport for your homeward journey.
