Treasures of Dresden

2 - 5 October 2011

Semperoper Dresden
The historic city of Dresden boasts many priceless treasures, not least the magnificent Semperoper, designed by Gottfried Semper in 1841. Restored in the 1980’s to its original design and to spectacular effect, and home to The State Opera of Saxony, it impresses all who visit, with highly-acclaimed productions featuring many guest international stars. Our autumn season starts with two Verdi operas; a new production of Un ballo in maschera and the revival of Rigoletto.
